HR Assistant (Temporary)

RECAP is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our team on a temp basis. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, this part-time position that will occur for the span of about 4 weeks, offers the opportunity to support a dynamic HR department and gain valuable experience with potential for full-time growth. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining employee records, supporting HR processes, and ensuring smooth communication across the organization. Responsibilities Handle confidential materials and information with discretion and sensitivity Collect, organize, and maintain accurate personnel files for all employees Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining the employee database and managing HR department emails Track and record employee attendance and leave requests Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication Update and maintain content on the company intranet Digitize paper documents and maintain electronic filing systems Assist in updating and distributing the employee handbook Demonstrate understanding of the employment life cycle and HR best practices Support additional HR projects and tasks as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required; HR certifications are a plus 1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a human resources or office setting Valid driver’s license Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Paylocity Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Outlook) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities Ability to handle confidential information with integrity Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to interpret and apply HR principles and best practices Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance required Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance (upon full-time eligibility) Company-sponsored life insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off (PTO) and vacation time AFLAC supplemental insurance 401(k) retirement plan #J-18808-Ljbffr Air Comfort, Inc
