Job Title

The Minneapolis VA is home to multiple research centers and programs, including the Center for Care Delivery and Outcomes Research (CCDOR), affiliated with GIM. Essential qualifications of successful candidates include excellent interpersonal communication, creative problem-solving skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, and demonstrated research expertise in a VA-relevant field. Candidates may be early or mid/senior career and should have a publication and funding track record commensurate with career stage.

Responsibilities include:

• obtaining grant funding as PI
• publishing in peer-reviewed journals
• conducting local and national service
• mentoring as appropriate to career stage
• Physicians are expected to provide 20% clinical effort (primary care clinic or inpatient).

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position may be eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
