NOW HIRING- Second Shift Quality Control Inspector / CMM Technician

Location: Gastonia, NC
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00

Job Description:

This position is responsible for inspecting parts to blueprints using micrometers, calipers, height stands, and other precision measuring equipment. The technician will create, print, and maintain inspection documentation while verifying product quality both in the QC lab and on the production floor.

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring operators have the proper tools and documentation needed to perform and record in-process inspections, and notifying supervisors when inspection procedures are not being followed. The individual will identify and segregate suspect nonconforming material to prevent unintended use and ensure conforming products are properly identified and approved for movement to the next process, outside processing, or shipment to the customer.

The role also involves training production operators on proper in-process inspection techniques to ensure they have the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain product conformity. After training, the candidate will be expected to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Self-motivation and attention to detail are critical for long-term success in this role.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Strong experience using micrometers and calipers

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Ability to measure parts and verify conformance to blueprint specifications

• Comfortable navigating folders and locating files on a Windows-based network

• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including opening, editing, and printing spreadsheets and documents

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently after training

Preferred Qualifications:

• ZEISS CMM experience is a plus
