and the job listing Expires on October 5, 2026 Full-Time Job Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics & Finance The Account Specialist is an entry-level role within the Operations team, designed to build foundational skills in client service, credit analysis, and financial operations. This role supports Account Executives and contributes to portfolio integrity and client satisfaction. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining an ongoing relationship with a small book of clients by addressing all day-to-day needs, understanding their business, and monitoring client and customer performance to ensure the integrity of Encore’s portfolio. What You’ll Do Build familiarity with various credit reporting agencies and learn to analyze a credit report to determine proper credit limits for potential customers in our client’s portfolio Monitor client position and its ability to handle current book of business with respect to dollar size, customer concentrations, and other factors Closely monitor account for transactional anomalies and determine appropriate course of action to be taken to safeguard both client and Encore’s financial position Business to business collections and invoice verification as needed Investigate transactional anomalies and initiate corrective actions within SLA timelines. Ensure important legal documents are properly mailed, delivered and filed Troubleshoot process breakdowns and hindrances related to client service matters Communicate clearly and thoughtfully with upper management Identify, test, and implement process improvements to enhance and standardize customer Prepare and present in weekly company-wide meeting regarding health of the portfolio and any client issues Support Account Executives in client onboarding, documentation, and service delivery Build and maintain strong relationships with Account Executives and their clients What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced financial environment. Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field highly preferred. Experience: Minimum 0-2+ years in client service, financial operations, or credit-related roles. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset are essential.
