Quality Assurance Inspector

Overview Voltage is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Inspector – Incoming Inspection to ensure all incoming materials meet engineering specifications and quality standards prior to release to production. Responsibilities Perform inspection of incoming raw materials, components, and supplier‑provided assemblies. Verify material compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase requirements. Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections as required. Review Certificates of Conformance (COCs), test reports, and supplier documentation. Accept, reject, or hold incoming materials based on inspection results. Generate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and coordinate containment actions. Segregate and control nonconforming materials to prevent use in production. Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Supplier Quality on material disposition. Track supplier quality issues and support corrective action processes (SCARs). Maintain accurate inspection records and material traceability documentation. Record inspection results and inventory status in ERP/quality systems. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incoming defects. Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and internal quality requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of incoming inspection, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience with inspection processes and supplier documentation review (COCs). Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar). Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills. Associate degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Experience in wire harness, electronics, automotive, or similar environments preferred. Hands‑on experience with inspection tools and equipment preferred. Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards preferred. Benefits Play a critical role in ensuring product quality and supplier performance.
