TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Albemarle, North Carolina, 28001!

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI Description: The facility has 109 licensed beds. There is no trauma designation, and it is not a teaching hospital. It is recognized as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside the home unit. The unit consists of 16 beds. Patient types include both pediatric and adult populations. Common diagnoses include COPD, CHF, chest pain, MI, N-STEMI, stroke, TIA, new onset cardiac arrhythmia, uncontrolled diabetes, and minor trauma. Patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 4-5 patients, based on acuity. Required skills include general Emergency Department skillset, cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, ventilator management, chest tube care, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, and ESI assessments. Support within the department includes charge nurses, CNA, an IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy available 24/7, and a physician team in the Emergency Department. The technology used includes Epic for EMR, Alaris for IV pumps, and Omnicell for medication dispensing. Monitors used are Phillips, along with general medical-surgical equipment and telemetry devices. Floating to other facilities may be required according to regional needs, maintaining the scope of practice. If floating occurs mid-shift, the traveler will be compensated for travel time between facilities while remaining on the clock.
