Pre-Litigation Attorney - Personal Injury

DM Injury Law is looking for a Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our Kansas City office. You'll manage a personal injury caseload from intake through demand and resolution — building client relationships, negotiating with insurers, and driving cases toward strong outcomes. Dedicated paralegals, case managers, and intake staff handle the administrative work, so your time stays focused on practicing law. What You'll Do Manage a personal injury pre‑litigation caseload from intake through demand and resolution Build and maintain client relationships through consistent, proactive communication Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters to maximize client recovery Draft demand letters, settlement agreements, correspondence, and legal documents Collaborate with and direct paralegal and case management staff in the KC office Develop referral relationships that grow your book of business — and your income What We're Looking For 1+ years of personal injury experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant civil litigation backgrounds also considered Eligibility to obtain a Kansas Bar license (UBE score or reciprocity) A genuine client‑first orientation — you understand how a case outcome affects someone's life Strong organizational skills and self‑direction in a high‑volume environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfort with legal technology and case management platforms Base salary + quarterly performance bonus. High performers consistently earn above the posted range, with no cap on total compensation. Uncapped origination bonus. Refer a case to the firm and earn one‑third of the firm's fee at resolution — on top of your regular pay. Most firms reserve this for partners; we offer it to every attorney from day one.
