Speech-Language Pathologist
Speech therapists play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals by addressing their speech, communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at [Company Name], you will lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as established facility policies and procedures. Your expertise will contribute to providing exceptional care and services to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and reduce aspirations.
- Create communication treatment plans that facilitate better understanding for residents and enhance their ability to comprehend others.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Lead and supervise the delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans.
- Stay updated on skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines related to long-term care.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid, unrestricted license in speech-language pathology in the state of [Specify State].
- Meet educational requirements in accordance with licensure requirements.
- Possess a valid driver's license in the state of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
Certification Requirements:
- Current CPR certification.

- Missouri state license in speech-language pathology.
- Compact License is allowed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- New graduates will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) experience is preferred.
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings is required.
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) certified SLP is required.
