INSTALLATION & PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Tropical J’s, Inc. is looking for an energetic, dependable person to join our team in Honolulu. This is a hands-on position primarily assisting with the installation of commercial awnings, canopies, umbrellas, shade systems and other products manufactured in our facility. When not working in the field, this person will assist our welding department and help with general production.

Responsibilities include:

• Loading, unloading and organizing materials and tools
• Assisting with field installations, removals and repairs
• Working from ladders and using basic hand and power tools
• Supporting frame fabrication and production in our welding department
• Keeping work areas, tools and company vehicles clean and organized
• Following company safety procedures in the shop and on jobsites

The right person will be reliable, physically capable, comfortable working outdoors and willing to learn. Construction, installation, fabrication or welding experience is helpful but not required—we are willing to train someone with a strong work ethic and a good attitude.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Able to meet the requirements of our drug-free workplace
• Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
• Able to lift and handle construction materials
• Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
