Role Description The Certified Dietary Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our Largo, FL, community and is responsible for overseeing daily food service operations within a healthcare or residential care environment. The role includes planning, organizing, and supervising meal production to meet nutritional standards, patient or resident preferences, and safety requirements. The manager coordinates menu development, ensures accurate adherence to diet orders, monitors food quality and presentation, and enforces sanitation and infection control standards. Day-to-day tasks also involve scheduling and training food service staff, managing inventory and ordering supplies, maintaining cost control, and documenting compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. The Certified Dietary Manager collaborates closely with dietitians, nursing staff, and administrators to support patient-centered care and continuous improvement in dietary services. Qualifications Strong foundation in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to interpret dietary orders and support therapeutic diets. Demonstrated skills in Food Preparation and Food & Beverage handling, including safe cooking practices and quality control. Experience managing Food Service operations, including meal service coordination, staff supervision, and workflow optimization. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential or eligibility, with knowledge of relevant regulatory and accreditation standards. Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines in healthcare or long-term care settings. Effective leadership, communication, and team-building abilities, with a focus on customer service and resident satisfaction. Competence in basic computer systems and documentation tools used for menu planning, ordering, and compliance records. Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or similar healthcare environment is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
