Your Impact The Café Supervisor supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations. The role is crucial for maintaining consistency during the Store Manager’s absence and requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a commitment to positive customer and employee experiences. Your Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, including opening and closing procedures. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal. Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure adequate stock, including alcoholic beverages. Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate cash reconciliation. Monitor sales during assigned shifts and report trends to the Store Manager. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and all local and state alcohol beverage control (ABC) laws. Supervise staff during assigned shifts, providing direction and support. Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance monitoring. Create a positive and supportive work environment. Maintain payroll and timekeeping during assigned shifts. Support the Store Manager in implementing marketing initiatives and promotions. Address and resolve customer complaints and issues effectively, emphasizing strong customer experience. Monitor customer alcohol consumption and take appropriate action when necessary. Your Skills/Experience Previous supervisory experience in food and beverage or retail is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills and a passion for a positive guest experience. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask effectively. Basic math and cash handling skills. Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, time‑keeping software). Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Knowledge of local and state ABC laws and regulations. Must be of legal age to serve and supervise alcohol sales per state/local laws. Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol server/manager certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol). High school diploma or equivalent is required.
