Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold, or be eligible for, Delaware Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience with high school students and a strong understanding of special education principles
• Ability to effectively case manage and to teach social studies content within a SPED setting
• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required
• Willingness to work on site and comply with required drug screening and background checks

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a high school caseload, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and documentation
• Design and deliver engaging modified instruction in social studies for students with varying abilities
• Communicate regularly with families, school teams, and administrators to support student success
• Utilize data-driven methods to monitor and address student progress
• Collaborate with related service providers and participate in IEP meetings
• Uphold school policies and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
