Accounting Manager Opportunity

This is a remote position. OPPORTUNITY Cox Consulting Network has been exclusively retained by an acquisitive, PE-owned medical management company to find an Accounting Manager. The company is ready to hire, so apply today. This hybrid role is based in Austin, with about one in-office day per week after a brief training period. The Accounting Manager will be a key team member, supporting the Controller with month-end close, system implementations and enhancements, and operational accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, experienced in multi-site healthcare provider environments, and well-versed in US GAAP. This is a growth-oriented company with strong advancement potential, including the opportunity for this role to evolve into a Controller position over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
• Maintaining general ledger accounts and processes in NetSuite
• Managing month-end close
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable
• Researching accounting issues for compliance
• Coordinating the accounting integration of acquired companies
• Identifying the need for and hiring new accounting staff
• Support the senior accountant and AP manager

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5 years' experience in industry with increasing levels of responsibility
• 2 years' supervisory experience
• Experience playing a significant role in a system implementation or integration
• Experience creating and maintaining new accounting processes
• Experience using Netsuite is required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Healthcare industry experience, especially within multi-site medical practice roll-ups.
• Exposure to private equity-backed environments with acquisition integrations.
• Experience with financial due diligence and M&A accounting.
