Commercial Lines Account Manager

Own and Grow New Commercial Programs

In-Office/Hybrid (Charlotte, NC/Fort Mill, SC)

A boutique insurance firm that designs custom risk programs, group captives, proprietary coverages, and technology-enabled analytics. We give businesses greater control, transparency, and cost efficiency.

We are growing fast and need a Commercial Lines Account Manager who wants real ownership - someone ready to help build, launch, and scale new products from the ground up, then watch them grow.

• Redeveloping and automating our agency management and underwriting systems

• Designing and scaling proprietary programs, including commercial property, inland marine, and commercial auto programs for niche industries

• Supporting our path to Lloyd's of London Coverholder status within the next eight months

• You learn quickly and stay curious

• You bring practical new ideas and are willing to test them

• You make sound decisions with limited direction while remaining open to feedback

• You take clear ownership of programs and drive them forward

• You collaborate well in a low-bureaucracy environment

• Improve and automate agency processes to deliver a smoother client experience

• Support the design, launch, and ongoing management of proprietary commercial auto programs

• Partner with producers to help grow their books of business

• Contribute to underwriting guidelines and operational frameworks for the Lloyd's Coverholder application

• Manage full-cycle client relationships: coverage analysis, placement, renewals, claims coordination, and risk advising

• Use modern insurance systems and data-driven analytics

• Hands-on exposure to innovative structures, global markets, and emerging technology

• Support and reimbursement for professional designations (CIC, CPCU, etc.)

Required

• Proven experience in commercial lines insurance (commercial auto strongly preferred)

• Strong account management and client relationship skills

• Solid working knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and industry practices

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and take initiative

Preferred

• Familiarity with commercial insurance and agency operations

• Experience with modern agency management systems and analytics tools
