Job Summary:

Job Summary:
Coordinates the flow of materials in multiple departments of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. 
Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product(s).
Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. 
Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within the factory. Works in larger and broader groups. 
May supervise or provide work direction to hourly material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Operational Support:

• Monitor order queues and workflow progression to ensure on-time completion of customer orders.
• Coordinate daily department activities and priorities.
• Track action items and ensure timely follow-up and completion.
• Identify and escalate at-risk orders, implementing recovery plans to minimize customer impact.
• Track and report on on-time delivery performance, backlog, aged orders, and service-level metrics.

Communication & Coordination:

• Serve as a point of contact between production employees and support teams.
• Communicate process updates, policy changes, and operational information.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities and resources.
• Support employee engagement and department communication efforts.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Track department KPIs, productivity, quality, safety, and delivery measures.
• Assist supervisors in identifying trends and improvement opportunities.

Training & Compliance:

• Coordinate employee training schedules
• Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with audits, assessments, and corrective action tracking.

Process Improvement:

• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and project implementation.
• Maintain standard work instructions and department procedures.

Resource Management:

• Monitor office and operational supply needs.
• Coordinate equipment requests, repairs, and service requirements.
• Support workforce planning activities and department scheduling as needed.
