Embedded in our network of affiliated OBGYN practices, UMAMS provides patients with a familiar, one‑stop solution for well‑women visits and annual screening mammograms. Mammography Technologist (Per Diem) UMAMS seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform 3D digital mammography in the OBGYN office. The ideal candidate works independently, demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills, and ensures high quality and service for all customers. Location: 300 Pavilion Way Ste 100, Southern Pines, NC 28387 Work Schedule: Coverage as needed. Responsibilities Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures. Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions. Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures. Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams. Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information. Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork. Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation. Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring. Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times. Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements. Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA. Additional Job Functions All other job requests as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator. Qualifications Associate’s degree or completion of an accredited radiologic science program. ARRT Registration R.T.(R) required. ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) required. State Department of Radiation Control license (if applicable). Maintain registry status and continuing education. Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English for job duties. Must understand and follow safety instructions provided in English. Role requires reading, writing, and documentation proficiency in English. Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
