RECRUITER (ENTRY LEVEL) – WCL GROUP

COMPENSATION
$45,000 base salary plus uncapped commission

SCHEDULE
Working Model: Hybrid; local candidates only
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm MT

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Recruiter owns the front end of the hiring process, from sourcing and screening candidates to guiding them through interviews and offer. This is an entry-level role: no prior recruiting experience is required, and you will be fully trained on our tools, industries, and process. We are looking for a driven, personable communicator, often someone coming from sales, marketing, or communications, who enjoys building relationships, thrives on goals, and wants a career where effort translates directly into earnings.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Partner with Client Managers to understand each client, their hiring needs, and the details of every open requisition
•    Build a sourcing plan for each role and find candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, our internal database, referrals, and networking
•    Write and post engaging job descriptions and outreach messages that attract active and passive talent
•    Reach out to candidates by phone, email, text, and LinkedIn to introduce opportunities and build rapport
•    Screen resumes and conduct phone and video interviews to assess skills, experience, and fit
•    Present qualified candidates to Client Managers with clear, concise submission summaries
•    Coordinate and prepare candidates for client interviews, gather feedback, and keep all parties updated
•    Support the offer process, including candidate expectations and negotiation, through start date
•    Keep candidate records, notes, and pipeline activity accurate and up to date in our ATS
•    Grow a network of qualified professionals to draw from as new positions open
•    Collaborate with the recruiting team and leadership to share ideas and refine recruiting strategies

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
•    Daily and weekly outreach and candidate activity levels
•    Number of qualified candidate submittals to Client Managers
•    Submittal-to-interview and interview-to-placement ratios
•    Placements and commission revenue generated
•    Candidate and Client Manager feedback on communication and responsiveness
•    Accuracy and completeness of ATS records
•    Progress through training and ramp-up milestones

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
•    Bachelor's degree (business, communications, marketing, human resources, psychology, or related field preferred)
•    1+ years of professional experience in sales, marketing, communications, customer service, or another client- or people-facing role (internships count)
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable making high volumes of calls
•    Competitive, goal-oriented mindset with motivation to earn commission
•    Strong organization and time management; able to juggle multiple roles and deadlines
•    Coachable, curious, and eager to learn new industries
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Prior recruiting, sourcing, or staffing agency experience
•    Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, or an applicant tracking system (ATS)
•    Exposure to oil and gas, engineering, construction, or other technical industries
•    Familiarity with Managed Service Provider (MSP) or Vendor Management System (VMS) environments
