Private Estate Manager

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly professional House Manager /Household Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of a private single-family residence in San Francisco. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in luxury residential properties, high-end hospitality, or premium property management who can ensure the home is maintained to exceptional standards at all times. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing household operations, coordinating vendors and service providers, and maintaining a seamless, discreet, and highly organized living experience. Key Responsibilities Oversee the overall day-to-day operations, maintenance, and presentation of the private residence. Manage and coordinate third-party vendors and service providers, including: Housekeeping, Security, Landscaping, General maintenance, Pool services, HVAC and other technical systems. Supervise a small on-site team and ensure smooth daily operations. Develop and manage maintenance schedules, property upkeep plans, and operational budgets. Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and procurement for household needs. Ensure the property is consistently maintained to the highest standards. Respond promptly to urgent maintenance or operational matters as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times. Support the homeowner’s privacy, security, and overall service experience. Qualifications 5‒10 years of experience in luxury residential property management, estate management, luxury hospitality, or high-end condominium/property operations. Proven experience managing vendors, household staff, and multiple service providers. Strong understanding of residential property maintenance and operational management. Ability to independently handle day-to-day problem solving and operational coordination. Professional, discreet, detail-oriented, and highly reliable. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable with an on-call work environment and occasional weekend/holiday support when required. Stable work history and ability to adapt to a live-in working arrangement. Property Information Approximately 15,000 sq. ft. with landscaped outdoor areas. Managing a team of approximately 5 staff members across housekeeping, security, landscaping, and maintenance functions.
