About the role

Attio's core differentiation is its ability to adapt to each customer's unique GTM motion. That puts Solutions Engineers at the forefront of driving value for prospects and customers, helping them tailor the platform to their business and driving close rates, adoption, and retention along the way.

This is a foundational people-manager hire: you'll bring scale, efficiency, and consistency to the team as it grows from a group of early, first-in-the-door SEs into a global, scaled org. You'll own and grow a team of SMB and Mid-Market Solutions Engineers who split their time between pre-sales technical evaluation (discovery, custom demos, architecture design, proof-of-concept programs) and post-sale onboarding (data model design, data migration, GTM stack integration, workspace configuration, and end-user training) for newly signed customers.

What you'll do

• Hire, coach, and manage a team of SMB and Mid-Market Solutions Engineers, and set the bar for great technical evaluations and onboarding at Attio

• Champion your team as true partners to AEs across the deal cycle through joint discovery, evaluation planning, and deal strategy, with SEs owning the product evaluation

• Partner with AE Managers on joint ownership of the pipeline, and serve as an executive sponsor on large deals

• Own the quality and consistency of our onboarding framework while scaling it for a growing team and maturing it as we move up market

• Champion enablement and programs across the team: demo environments, POC and onboarding frameworks, playbooks, AI tooling and automation, and training materials

• Represent customer and prospect feedback cross-functionally with Product and Engineering

What you'll bring

• 4-5 years of experience as an individual-contributor Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Consultant at a B2B SaaS company, ideally with exposure to both pre-sales and post-sale/onboarding work

• 2+ years directly managing a team of Solutions or Sales Engineers

• A track record of building process and enablement for a growing team, and innovating as our product and GTM motions evolve

• Strong technical and data fluency across traditional no- and low-code SaaS ecosystems, including data model design, APIs, and integrations, as well as the ability to coach SEs on these concepts.

• A passionate technologist, builder, and learner, especially in the realm of AI. SEs and SE managers at Attio are expected to continually push the bounds of what’s possible for our own team and our customers using our product, AI, and other tools in the rapidly evolving GTME toolkit.

• Clear experience working cross-functionally on strategic projects

• Comfort operating in both a pre-sales, deal‑critical environment and a post-sale, customer‑success‑adjacent one

• Experience with CRM or broader GTM tooling is a strong plus
