Chief Estimator (Data Centers)

Location: North Texas
Industry: Commercial Construction | Mission Critical | Data Centers

A nationally recognized General Contractor is seeking an accomplished Chief Estimator to lead its Mission Critical Preconstruction division in North Texas.

This executive leadership position is ideal for an experienced estimating professional with a proven track record delivering large-scale data center projects and building high-performing estimating teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving pursuit strategy, overseeing conceptual estimating through GMP development, and supporting the continued growth of one of the region's premier construction organizations.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all estimating and preconstruction efforts for mission critical/data center projects.
Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals.
Establish pursuit strategies for negotiated and competitive opportunities.
Mentor, coach, and develop estimating professionals while fostering a collaborative culture.
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope, risk, and value engineering opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
Collaborate closely with Operations and Business Development to secure new work.
Drive continuous improvement within estimating systems, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

15+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Significant experience estimating large-scale Data Center / Mission Critical projects.
Previous leadership experience managing estimating or preconstruction teams.
Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating, budgeting, procurement, and GMP development.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
