CNC Machinist | Weekend Only!️ Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000/year

Schedule: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

What You’ll Do:

• Set Up & Operate: Comfortably handle CNC horizontal and vertical mills, including basic program editing and axis assignments.

• Tooling & Fixturing: Select, load, and change tooling (Drills, Endmills, Reamers) and perform minor adjustments/indexable insert changes.

• Quality Control: Read blueprints, interpret dimensions/tolerances, and use micrometers/calipers for in-process gauging to keep parts flawless.

• Maintenance: Follow ISO procedures and perform minor preventative maintenance.

• Experience: 3+ years of proven proficiency setting up and operating CNC machines (Lathes and VMCs).

• Skills: Blueprint reading skills and precision measurement expertise (micrometers/calipers).

Responsibilities

• Understand and have experience in setting-up and operating CNC horizontal and vertical mills including axis assignment/basic program interpretation and editing.
• Be able to select applicable Fixturing required. Load Fixturing.
• Perform limited in-process inspections with assigned gaging.
• Determine the correct print for each part. Read and understand the dimensions and tolerances stated therein.
• Perform limited in-process inspections with assigned gauging.
• Using the work instruction & print provided adjust the tooling diameters and depths to keep the parts within print.
• Follow all ISO procedures.
• Perform all tooling changes and touch-offs as required - including Drills/Endmills/Reamers.
• Determine the condition of running tools and perform minor qualified tooling changes such as indexable inserts on both CNC lathes and CNC VMCs.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance assignments as required.
• Must have 3 years of experience and be proficient with setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Must have experience and be able to read blue prints and proficient at using micrometers and calipers

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working weekends
