Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact on students’ lives by bringing your expertise in occupational therapy to an engaging school-based setting in south Indianapolis, IN! This full-time contract opportunity runs from July 29th through May 27th, with the possibility of some part-time scheduling flexibility for the right candidates.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team to serve an elementary caseload of average size, delivering effective interventions and personalized therapy to help students succeed. The position is ideal for professionals experienced in school-based OT, healthcare, and home health settings, offering diverse, meaningful experiences each day.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Indiana
- Demonstrated experience in school settings, home health, or pediatric healthcare
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students per IEP/504 requirements
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and monitor student progress
- Participate in team meetings, collaborate with teachers, and consult with families
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
