Security MonitorWork Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday / 11am - 8pmUnder the guidance of the Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Manager, the Security Monitor is primarily responsible for the review of camera footage and day-to-day interactions between staff and child, child and child, and staff and staff. The Security Monitor is continuously observing interactions and routines to find deviations in routines and/or policies and procedures. The Security Monitor will alert program management to high-risk situations and help identify ways to mitigate risk based on observations. The Security Monitor has no supervisory responsibilities and reports directly to the PSA Compliance Manager.Position ResponsibilitiesMonitoring camera footage daily.Conducting walk-throughs of the program buildings to observe interactions of children and staff.Assisting with incident management (i.e. directing emergency care services, downloading and saving video footage, etc.)Running daily security check point system reports and identifying trends and patterns as well as deviations.Documenting shift activity in a daily report submitted to PSA Compliance Manager, Assistant Program Director, and Program DirectorCompleting security checks of windows, doors, and gates.Completing daily and weekly logs of monitoring activities.Completing camera functionality checks, troubleshooting cameras, and working with IT to address more complex or system wide issues.Documenting and elevating security incidents, breaches, and/or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.Deliver client services and all daily interactions within the Sanctuary Model framework.Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely mannerMust be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.Adhering to safety training and protocols daily and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, and others.Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.Other duties as assigned by Program Director, Senior Director of Emergency Services or Vice-President of Programs.At Seton Home's sole discretion, and with or without notice, Seton Home may require employees to alter their work schedules to fulfill job responsibilities or handle work situations of an emergency nature. Likewise, at Seton Home's sole discretion, and with written approval of the Department Head of Human Resources and Executive Director, employees may arrange an alternate or flexible work schedule, provided Seton Home needs can be fully met under such an arrangement.CompetenciesCommunicationCritical ThinkingPerformance ManagementAttention to DetailTeamworkMinimum Qualifications:Education Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent;Experience Minimum of one-year experience working with children in a child welfare setting; experience working with compliance, best practices and minimum standard preferred.Sanctuary Model experience preferred;License and Credentials Reliable transportationValid driver licenseValid vehicle insuranceMust provide immunization/shot records;Background Checks Submit to a state and federal background checkSubmit to child abuse and neglect registry checkSubmit to Tuberculosis screening;Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilitiesAble to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route if working directly with unaccompanied children; Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from healthcare provider verifying previous infection.MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseasesDTaP or DTap: Complete primary vaccination series. If primary vaccination series completed in childhood, one DTaP dose in adulthood.Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.Minimum Knowledge and Skills:Bilingual: Fluent in English/Spanish with regards to reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of the spoken language.Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel) and a variety of online database systems, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.Strong analytical and organization skills and abilities.Experience working with surveillance equipment, CCTV, and/or camera video monitoring systems.Must be able to read and interpret policy, procedures and standards.Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.Must have good written and verbal skills.Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills; andMust be able to remain calm and composed in crisis situations.Travel requirements for the position includes 10% local and 10% overnight.
