Admissions Coordinator

Admissions Coordinator Skilled Nursing McKnight Place Extended Care, locally owned and operated for over 30 years, is St. Louis's premier skilled nursing community known for exceptional care, beautiful surroundings, and a standard of service that sets us apart. We're looking for an Admissions Coordinator to be the first point of contact for families navigating one of the most important decisions of their lives, and to help drive occupancy through relationship-based, prospect-centered admissions. This is a full-time role with real earning upside through commission ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, moving quickly, and closing. What you'll do: Be the first point of contact for prospective residents, families, and referral partners phone, walk-in, email, and fax inquiries. Manage referrals end-to-end: intake, documentation, and follow-up using our CRM and EMR systems. Send admissions packets and personalized correspondence within one business day of a request. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects, hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources. Manage the community waiting list and coordinate room offers as availability opens. Coordinate the full admissions and move-in process across nursing, environmental services, maintenance, and transportation. Visit hospitalized residents and families to support smooth transitions and returning admissions. Maintain accurate census, occupancy reports, and required regulatory documentation. Collect admission deposits and required payments when applicable. What we're looking for: Experience in admissions, healthcare administration, customer service, or sales support skilled nursing, hospital, or senior living background preferred. High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, marketing, or communications a plus. Comfortable with CRM and EMR systems and Microsoft Office. Strong relationship-builder with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
