Position Overview The ICU RN provides high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients through assessment, coordination, and evidence-based interventions. Working closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, the RN plays a vital role in achieving optimal outcomes while maintaining the hospitals standard of excellence and commitment to compassionate care. This role requires clinical expertise, critical thinking, and a calm, confident presence in high-pressure situations. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care consistent with ICU standards and the organizations mission and values. Monitor and assess patients conditions, identifying and reporting any changes promptly. Perform procedures and provide treatments as ordered by medical providers. Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and recovery steps ensuring understanding through clear communication. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care that promote recovery and quality outcomes. Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction. Qualifications 1+ year of Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years) higher acuity than Med-Surg preferred, though strong Med-Surg candidates will be considered. Florida RN License or Compact RN License (compact license holders must obtain a FL license within 60 days of relocation). Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required.
