About the Role
The Company is in search of an Associate Vice President for University Communications and Marketing. The successful candidate will be a key figure in the institution, serving as the principal media spokesperson and communications strategist. This leadership role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including media relations, digital and social media, marketing, branding, publications, photography, and internal communications. The AVP will be expected to bring a high level of innovation and strategic thinking to the position, with a focus on enhancing the university's visibility and reputation. Applicants for the Associate Vice President position at the company should possess exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, as well as a strong background in leadership within the fields of communications, marketing, public relations, or a related area. A minimum of 8-10 years' of experience in a progressively responsible role is required, with a proven track record in media relations, crisis communications, integrated marketing, brand management, and team leadership. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is mandatory, and a master's degree is preferred. While not essential, experience in higher education, the local media market, CRM systems, analytics, marketing technologies, and emerging tools such as AI is also desirable. The role demands a candidate who can demonstrate a high level of professionalism, creativity, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
