Forward Deployed EngineerThe Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is a hands-on technical consultant embedded in some of Quanta's most innovative and fast-moving projects. You will partner with business leaders, domain experts, and engineers to design, prototype, and deploy real-world solutions focused on AI, applications, and automation build around our enterprise Databricks Lakehouse platform. From domain-specific chatbots to internal tooling and backend process automation, you'll work across a wide range of business and technical domains-energy infrastructure, operations, finance, safety, logistics, and more. This role emphasizes speed, adaptability, and using AI-powered development workflows to accelerate delivery and impact.Engage directly with internal stakeholders and operating units to understand technical needs and business priorities. Translate requirements into working software prototypes and full-featured solutions. Use AI-assisted tools for code generation, automation, data analysis, and research acceleration. Build integrations, applications, and scripts across cloud services, APIs, and enterprise systems. Iterate rapidly on solutions with continuous feedback from subject matter experts. Deploy applications to production environments and provide post-deployment support. Document learnings, design decisions, and reusable components to support scale and knowledge-sharing. Stay current with emerging AI tools and technologies-and help bring them into use across Quanta's ecosystem.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in software development, systems integration, or technical consulting. Cloud certifications or AI/ML specializations are a plus. Knowledge and Skills: 2+ Years hands on experience with Databricks in an enterprise setting. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java, Go). Strong problem-solving mindset with a consultative approach. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern development practices (CI/CD, containers, APIs). Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for development workflows. Ability to learn new technologies and domain contexts quickly.
