You'll own our enterprise-grade performance testing framework, ensuring the platform performs reliably at scale across distributed microservices. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of software engineering, performance science, and AI-driven automation — ideal for someone who thrives on solving hard problems and setting the engineering standard for those around them.Key responsibilitiesOwn and evolve the k6-based PSR Framework, including test architecture, authentication strategies, scenario builders, and reportingDesign and execute large-scale performance tests (load, soak, stress, spike) against distributed microservice architecturesBuild Agentic AI workflows that automate test generation, execution, and intelligent result analysis using LLM-powered agentsIntegrate and maintain automated performance pipelines in Azure DevOps with quality gates and stage-based reportingProvide technical consultancy and mentorship to the offshore PSR team and internal development teamsEssential requirements6+ years of experience in software development in testStrong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript; hands-on k6 experience (2+ years) including executors, VU lifecycle, and custom metricsProven experience testing large-scale distributed architecture with 1000+ concurrent virtual usersExperience building and operationalizing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)Solid understanding of REST, and gRPC API testing patterns under loadHands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), OAuth 2.0/OIDC, and identity managementDesired skills and competenciesExperience building AI agent pipelines, LLM integrations, and autonomous multi-step test workflows, with a drive to explore emerging automation possibilitiesAbility to design modular, reusable framework architectures that elevate engineering quality across multiple teamsFamiliarity with observability stacks (Grafana, Application Insights, Open Telemetry) and a desire to push reliability standards higherStrong communicator who can document clearly, mentor effectively, and be depended upon to deliver in a fast-paced, self-directed environmentUSA Benefits include:Flex work hours, 20 days PTO rising to 25 with service, three paid volunteering days, primary and secondary parental leave, well-being support, medical, dental, vision, and 401K.It’s possible we’re hiring for this position in multiple countries, in which case the above benefits apply to the primary location.
