Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary draws to collect blood specimens in accordance with established protocols.

Verify patient identities and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.

Maintain accurate records of specimens collected and associated documentation.

Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the collection area, adhering to infection control practices.

Assist with patient check-in and lobby greeting to create a welcoming environment.

Support other team members by covering breaks and assisting with specimen processing as needed.

Maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service while interacting with patients and staff.

Required Skills

Proven experience in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and specimen collection.

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle patients with care and professionalism.

Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and reassure patients.

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry for accurate documentation.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (retail, healthcare, or related fields).

Phlebotomy experience, even through internships or externships, is required.

Reliable transportation to and from the worksite; commute time should be within 20-25 minutes.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including covering breaks and staffing shortages.

Must be punctual and committed to full shift attendance; excessive tardiness or absenteeism is not tolerated.
