The Medical Assistantprovides individualized, direct patient care of patients under thesupervision of a physician. Minimum Qualifications: A Medical Assisting Diploma, Degree, or Certificate is required.May consider other medical certificates in a related field ifcombined with a CMA/RMA certification. Medical Assistant credentialing within 120 calendar days of hireis required. Exceptions may be considered due to the timing oftesting or other unforeseen circumstances. American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certificationis required. Will accept American Red Cross “CPR for ProfessionalRescuers” at time of hire only. Certification must be active at thetime of hire and maintained throughout employment in theposition. Possesses knowledge and skills in techniques of good patient careand maintains competency through continuing education. Requires the ability to operate various types of officeequipment, including but not limited to Personal computers, faxmachines, copiers, and telephones. Exhibits accuracy, integrity, and flexibility to work in multipleoutpatient areas. Previous Electronic Medical Records experience preferred. Previous Ambulatory Care medical assisting or nursing experienceis preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Previous Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
