THE COMMUNITY – TOLEDO Toledo, Ohio, not to be confused with the township that has the same name in Kansas, or the city in Spain, is the fourth most densely populated city in the state. Toledo was originally part of Michigan until the end of the nonviolent Toledo War, where it was handed over to Ohio. Today, many love to travel to Toledo, a city mentioned in popular songs and a popular place to visit. Toledo travel is never dull! The Maumee River runs through the downtown area of Toledo and features several bike trails lined with a variety of outdoor restaurants. You can also learn about the history of Toledo (and the Ohio-Michigan dispute) on the Wabash Cannonball Trail, where the railroad once stood.

THE FACILITY – TOLEDO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Toledo Correctional Institution is a closed custody prison that houses adult males. Located in Toledo Ohio, this prison houses approximately 750 inmates. Location; 2001 E Central Ave, Toledo, OH 43608 Why consider working at a jail? READ HERE JOB DUTIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:

1. Perform selected patient care tasks to assist in the care, examination, treatment of patients under the direction of physician or nurse supervisor.
2. Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for specific procedures as directed. Support patients and their families and notify the charge nurse of changes in patient status.
3. Obtain vital signs, blood pressure, height, weight, EKGs, lab tests and record patient data.
4. Prepare examination rooms by setting up, cleaning, disinfecting and replenishing supplies.
5. Clean assigned areas, stock supplies and equipment as required. Provide assistance to other team members as needed.
6. Maintain respect to patient privacy rights, confidentiality and HIPAA directives.
7. Follow all policies and procedures related to assigned patient care and facility guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of six months, within the past two years, of supervised clinical experience in the professional classification and each specialty in which you will be working.
• Minimum of two above average clinical references from supervisory or charge personnel. Completed clinical skill competency Checklist for area of specialty. Successful score above 80% on a valid clinical proficiency test.
• Annual, current BCLS or appropriate Cardiac Life Support as needed for area of employment.

SHIFTS: six positions available

• 7:30am to 3:30pm
• 3 with Fri/Sat off
• 3 with Sun/Mon off
