Child Watch Lead

Wage: $18.24 to $18.69 per hour (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range) Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week Location: Gordon Family YMCA, Sumner, WA As a Child Watch Lead, you will be responsible forensuring a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years while parents are utilizing the YMCA facilities. Qualifications: Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act). Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required. Key Responsibilities: Ensure a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years while parents are utilizing the YMCA facilities. Assist and support the supervision of the Child Watch program under the directions of the Program Director. Provide a quality experience focused on YMCA core values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring. Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. High school graduate or equivalent (preferred). One year or more of related experience (preferred). Previous experience working with children of all ages preferably in a program setting and diverse populations. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Knowledge and skills in program activities and related office equipment, and the ability to instruct youth classes in sports, games, and activities. Possess the knowledge and skills needed to support youth staff and classes.
