Camp StarQuest and Camp StarPower Counselor Are you passionate about performing arts and love working with kids? Join the Camp StarQuest or Camp StarPower team as a General Counselor and make an impact this summer! Jewish Community Center Of Dallas Location: 7900 Northaven Road, Dallas, TX 75230 Shift and schedule Monday to Friday Schedule Camp StarQuest: June 8 – July 3, 2026. M-F, 8:30 – 4:30 with the exception of July 1st will be a late night due to our final performance. Camp StarPower: July 6 – 17, 2026. M-F, 8:30 – 4:30. Orientation June 3 – 5, 2026 Option to be available for just one of the camp experiences, or both. Incentivized pay to do both. Responsibilities Assist with and implement core and non-core camp activities in various group settings. Lead large and small group recreational activities as needed. Support Specialty Theater Staff with hands‑on tasks, embodying a collaborative, can‑do attitude. Ensure the safety, well‑being, and happiness of assigned campers. Address and manage camper behavior promptly and appropriately. Serve as a positive role model, fostering enthusiasm, teamwork, fairness, and fun. Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. Experience or strong passion for performing arts (theater, dance, voice, etc.). Previous experience working with children or a genuine desire to engage with kids. Enthusiastic, dependable, caring, and team-oriented personality. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire young performers while creating memorable summer experiences.
