We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist/Analyst to oversee purchasing activities for our concrete block manufacturing operation and masonry supply retail store. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of products including raw materials, production supplies, store inventory, equipment, office supplies, and maintenance items.The ideal candidate will balance inventory levels, vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and timely purchasing to support both manufacturing operations and retail sales.Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase raw materials and production supplies for concrete brick and block manufacturingMaintain inventory levels for masonry store products and retail merchandiseOrder office supplies, maintenance items, tools, and operational materialsDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliersObtain pricing, negotiate costs, and compare supplier optionsMonitor inventory usage and anticipate purchasing needsCoordinate deliveries and resolve shipping or supply issuesTrack purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentationResolve receiving discrepancies and invoicing issuesWork closely with production, sales, warehouse, and accounting teamsAssist with inventory counts and inventory management processesIdentify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficienciesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and voluntary long-term disability insurance401K with Company matchPaid time off and holidaysStable, long-term employment opportunityRequirementsQualificationsPrevious purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience required (5+ years)Manufacturing, construction materials, building supply, or industrial experience strongly preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProficient with computer systems, spreadsheets, and inventory softwareAttention to detail and problem-solving abilityKnowledge of masonry, concrete products, or construction materials is a plusPreferred TraitsSelf-motivated and dependableStrong negotiation skillsComfortable working in both office and operational environmentsAble to build positive vendor and team relationships Responsibilities Responsibilities Oversee purchasing activities for concrete block manufacturing and masonry retail, including sourcing raw materials and managing store inventory.
