The FP&A Analyst supports budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, pricing analysis, and financial decision-making across CAPTEK. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role prepares recurring analyses, maintains financial models, identifies business trends, and partners with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and other cross functional teams. The analyst also supports finished-goods pricing, quotation activities, and provides actionable insights that help improve profitability, drive efficiency, and cost management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes by gathering inputs, maintaining budget models, documenting assumptions, preparing schedules, and analyzing results in collaboration with the FP&A Manager, Cost Accounting Manager, and Director of Accounting
• Maintain and enhance customer pricing models, validate cost and margin inputs, and prepare analyses that support accurate, consistent, and profitable pricing decisions
• Provide analytical support for pricing decisions for both existing and new customers by evaluating price, volume, cost, margin, and other relevant business factors
• Build and maintain pricing calculators and financial models for new business opportunities, document key assumptions and data sources, and perform quality checks to ensure outputs are accurate and reproducible
• Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate how changes in pricing, volume, product mix, labor, materials, production assumptions, and market conditions may affect revenue, cost, margin, and profitability
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Cost Accounting to analyze customer and SKU profitability, including product cost, gross margin, contribution margin, pricing, volume, and mix, and highlight opportunities or risks for management review
• Analyze financial and operational performance against company goals, budgets/forecasts, and key performance indicators; identify favorable and unfavorable trends; and communicate significant variances and business drivers
• Support monthly financial reviews by preparing sales and margin bridges, budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analyses, and summaries of the key drivers affecting revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability. Investigate significant variances and provide concise commentary on key trends and risks
• Prepare, validate, and distribute recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, including flash reports, sales reports, departmental expense reports, customer and SKU profitability analyses, and plant spend reports
• Prepare ROI and financial feasibility analyses for proposed investments and summarize key assumptions, risks, and expected returns to support management decision-making
• Perform ad-hoc reporting, analysis and other tasks as needed to support Finance, Sales, Operations and the executive leadership team

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Financial Modeling experience a plus
• Understanding of ERP system, Syspro a plus
• General business acumen
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effectively prioritize and multi-task to complete work and meet deadlines
• Have strong problem-solving skills
• Process improvement and streamlining work cross-functionally

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance (preferred)
• 3+ years preferred in same or related position
