Location: Naperville, Illinois (Onsite)

Role Overview

The main function of this role is to perform a variety of routine laboratory operations. This position requires logging and setting up samples, working in the laboratory to gather results, and recording the results accurately in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The ideal candidate will collaborate with teammates to complete interdependent tasks and assist in troubleshooting challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume data entry of customer and sample information into a LIMS.
• File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
• Respond to incoming correspondence, including email and phone messages.
• Receive and open sample packages.
• Perform light laboratory tasks as directed by senior staff, such as restocking supplies and routine cleaning.
• Store and dispose of completed samples.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience is required.

Skills:

• Prior data entry experience with high speed and accuracy.
• Attention to detail.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to keep information organized and confidential.

Work Environment

This role involves office-based work conducted within a laboratory environment. A candidate who is comfortable with exposure to a lab setting is sought. Previous experience performing data entry or clerical work in a lab or plant environment may be a good fit.
