Vice President Operations

Hybrid — Miami, FL Headquarters or Remote with Required Travel | Full-Time, Executive Leadership SALT is looking for a Vice President of Operations to serve as the primary operating executive across our portfolio of brands — Payments, POS, and ACH. This is a senior executive role for someone who thrives on owning end-to-end operational strategy across multiple products and business lines in a fast-moving fintech and software ecosystem. About the Role The Vice President of Operations is a senior executive leader responsible for owning and executing the end-to-end operational strategy across SALT's portfolio of brands, including Bill My Bnk and Alleaves. This role elevates operational leadership beyond a single-brand mandate, directing operations, customer experience, financial workflows, and internal enablement across multiple products and business lines that together make up SALT's payments and software ecosystem. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, this role serves as the primary operating executive for the SALT portfolio, accountable for day-to-day execution and long-range operational strategy across Bill My Bnk and Alleaves. The VP of Operations will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Marketing to ensure each brand is scalable, resilient, and prepared for sustained growth, while driving consistency and shared operational infrastructure across the portfolio. Because this role has operational proximity to cardholder data flows, merchant settlement processes, and customer information systems, it carries information security, confidentiality, and access-management responsibilities consistent with NACHA, SOC 2 and PCI DSS control environments. Key Responsibilities Own all day-to-day operational functions across Bill My Bnk and Alleaves, including merchant/customer onboarding, account activation, support readiness, settlement coordination, and exception handling. Develop, document, and maintain scalable operational workflows, SOPs, and internal controls that support growth across multiple brands while minimizing risk and duplicated effort. Serve as the senior operational decision-maker across the portfolio, ensuring timely resolution of issues and alignment with executive priorities for each brand. Identify opportunities to standardize and share operational infrastructure, tooling, and processes across Bill My Bnk, Alleaves, and future SALT business lines. Go-To-Market Execution & Readiness Lead operational readiness for product launches and market expansion across Bill My Bnk and Alleaves, including internal enablement, customer-facing workflows, and post-activation support models. Partner closely with Sales, Revenue, and Marketing across each brand to ensure operational alignment with go-to-market strategy and customer/merchant acquisition efforts. Support key customer and partner conversations where operational credibility and industry expertise are required to close and activate accounts. Financial & Performance Management Oversee operational financial performance across the portfolio, including cost controls, margin optimization, and unit economics for each brand. Partner with Finance to support accurate forecasting, reconciliation, reporting, and performance analysis for Bill My Bnk and Alleaves operations. Identify and address operational inefficiencies that negatively impact margin, customer experience, or scalability, across and within each brand. Cross-Functional & Cross-Brand Leadership Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to ensure operational requirements are reflected in system design, dashboards, and tooling across Bill My Bnk and Alleaves. Work with Customer Support leadership to ensure service levels, escalation paths, and satisfaction targets are met for each brand's customer base. Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to ensure operational practices across the portfolio align with regulatory, banking, cannabis-industry, and contractual obligations. Represent Operations in executive and cross-portfolio planning, bringing a consistent operational lens to decisions affecting multiple SALT brands. Scalability & Continuous Improvement Design operational systems that scale efficiently as transaction volume, merchant/customer count, and product complexity increase across Bill My Bnk and Alleaves. Implement KPI-driven management practices to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across each brand and the portfolio as a whole. Prepare Bill My Bnk and Alleaves for future growth phases, including expanded product offerings, new verticals, and increased transaction/customer throughput. Qualifications Required Minimum 8+ years of experience in cannabis, payments, fintech, ACH, banking, SaaS, or alternative payment solutions, including senior leadership experience. Demonstrated experience launching, operating, and scaling more than one financial services, payments, or software product, ideally across multiple brands or business units. Strong understanding of money movement, settlement flows, merchant/customer onboarding, and transaction-based or subscription-based revenue models. Working knowledge of NACHA, SOC 2 and PCI DSS control environments, or demonstrated ability to quickly operate within a regulated compliance framework. Proven ability to operate in fast-moving, high-growth environments with limited ambiguity, and to prioritize across competing brand needs. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complexity across multiple business lines simultaneously. Executive-level communication skills with the ability to work directly with senior leadership and represent Operations at the executive table. Preferred Experience operating within regulated or high-risk industries, including cannabis-adjacent or specialty payments (directly relevant to Bill My Bnk and Alleaves). Prior experience supporting NACHA, SOC 2 Type II or PCI DSS audit cycles, including control testing and evidence preparation. Background working with both startup-stage and scaling fintech or SaaS organizations, including multi-brand or holding-company structures. Experience partnering closely with sales, revenue, and marketing teams during product launches across more than one product line. Familiarity with CRM, merchant/customer portals, POS platforms, and operational analytics platforms.
