Interim Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) Role Summary Are you an experienced, licensed healthcare leader with a heart for service and a proven track record of stabilizing long-term care facilities? We are seeking a highly collaborative and mission-driven Interim Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) for a temporary, contract assignment. In this vital leadership role, you will provide comprehensive management, operational oversight, and spiritual leadership for our skilled nursing facility during a leadership transition. You will be responsible for driving regulatory compliance, maintaining clinical safety, managing financial stability, and spearheading focused Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) projects. Duties & Responsibilities Facility Leadership & Regulatory Compliance Operational Oversight: Provide overall direction, leadership, and daily management of the location to ensure clinical, financial, and operational stability. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, healthcare statutes, and corporate compliance programs. Safely safeguard resident rights and ensure strict HIPAA compliance. Infection Prevention: Delegate and supervise the daily management of the facility's infection prevention and control activities, ensuring staff have the necessary equipment, supplies, and information to monitor and control infections. Culture of Safety: Establish and maintain a rigorous facility-wide safety program, conducting scheduled environmental inspections and making swift corrections as necessary. QAPI Program Direction: Direct the facility’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Lead monthly QAPI committee meetings, sponsor targeted performance improvement initiatives, and evaluate clinical recommendations. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise, mentor, and support assigned department heads and staff. Oversee recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations while fostering an environment that promotes high employee engagement. Community Relations: Actively interact with residents, families, and external medical professionals. Respond openly to the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of residents, and support marketing efforts across all care levels. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Licensure & Education Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted Nursing Home Administrator's license (LNHA) issued by the state of practice. Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a strong preference for a degree in Health Care Administration or a related field. Experience & Skills Administrative Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of solid, stable experience as a Long-Term Care / Nursing Home Administrator. Financial & Business Acumen: Strong foundational understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, financial reporting, budget management, and business applications (including Microsoft Office). Communication & Alignment: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Proven ability to handle workplace conflict, analyze complex legal or professional technical procedures, and embrace organizational diversity. Mission Fit: Must be an active member of a Christian church, comfortable providing spiritual leadership and alignment to the facility’s values and culture. Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel to the assigned facility location for the duration of the transition contract. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work Setting: On-site clinical skilled nursing facility environment with a moderate noise level. Physical Demands: Frequently required to maintain a stationary position, move about the facility to inspect units, and communicate clearly with residents and staff. Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.
