Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team by ensuring accurate invoice processing, payment analysis, reconciliations, and reporting. This role partners with procurement, operations, and treasury teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain strong financial controls.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze AP reports, including aging, GRIR, parked invoices, and payment metrics.
- Perform vendor statement and GRIR reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Investigate blocked or parked invoices and coordinate resolution with internal teams.
- Monitor invoices from receipt through payment and identify process improvements.
- Review invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Support weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, and check).
- Review payment proposals for duplicate payments, exceptions, and errors.
- Assist with month-end close activities and AP accruals.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience.
- Strong Excel skills and data analysis experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics, etc.).
