Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The organization is seeking an experienced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse for a day shift position. This role involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia, managing airway, anesthesia recovery, and pain management, along with working in preoperative and extended care units. Job Details Certifications: CA RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and California RN License in hand Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in PACU, with emphasis on airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management. Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week The nurse must have completed references at the time of submission. Additional responsibilities include managing ports, arterial lines, central lines, IVs, medication reconciliation, and other clinical procedures related to outpatient surgery and recovery. The position requires flexibility to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75 mile radius, if needed. Start date is scheduled for 09/22/2026, with an end date of 12/22/2026.
