Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Los Angeles, California Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to complete a 13‑week travel assignment in Los Angeles, California. This full‑time position involves 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts, and requires a valid state license and current BLS certification. Position Details Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Location: Facility in Los Angeles, California Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
