Diesel Mechanic

Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Fleet Maintenance

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical problems.
Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance.
Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and operational issues.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

Previous diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read service manuals and technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
CDL or applicable certifications are a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
