Bignell Watkins Hasser Architecture & Interiors, a design firm located in Annapolis, MD, is looking for job captains, project architects or managers with 3-8 years of professional experience to join our growing team. Employees work alongside project leadership as a valued member of a project team. Must be very fluent in Revit. AutoCAD. Sketch up, Photoshop an Adobe Suite desirable.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Degree in Architecture or Interior Design Fluency with Revit is required. Graphic presentation skills with knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and SketchUp is preferred. Familiarity with the design process, including the preparation of Construction Documents. Flexibility to work on a variety of project types. Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages of development. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project teams. Excels at communicating design ideas and direction quickly. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work with various sized project teams, including outside consultants and engineers. Strong communication and client relationship management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform and collaborate on all phases of interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, construction documentation and construction administration. Assist with the development of design concepts and provide graphic and visualization tools for client presentations. Actively participate in client design reviews and presentations. Research manufacturers and participate in the selection and presentation of building materials, fixtures, equipment, finishes, color palettes, artwork and lighting. Prepare floor plans, building elevations and sections, interior elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design and drawings, interior layouts, finish plans, and schedules. Assist in the construction administration phase of projects and review of submittals, finish samples, sketches, and shop drawings. Ability to collaborate with consultants, engineers, interior designers, and the architectural team.
