Role Overview
A prestigious K-12 IB Continuum school in Suzhou seeks an experienced Head of English to lead the English department while maintaining a teaching load. The role requires strategic leadership, curriculum alignment across PYP–MYP–DP, and a strong commitment to English teaching excellence. Minimum 5 years of full-time English teaching experience, including at least 2 years teaching IBDP English. Demonstrated leadership experience (Head of Department, Lead Teacher, or similar role). Strong understanding of IB assessment practices, including Paper 1, Paper 2, Individual Oral, and HL Essay. Native or near-native English proficiency. Benefits Package
1. Monthly Salary RMB 35000-36,000 pre-tax 2. Head of Department Allowance RMB 2,000 pre-tax per month Paid for 11 months per year (no payment in July – holiday period)Note: This allowance is not shown in the official offer letter. The offer letter will state the teacher title and salary. The POR allowance will be arranged and signed on paper after joining. 3. Contract Completion Bonus RMB 72,000 pre-tax upon successful completion of the 3-year contract 4. Annual Flight Allowance Up to RMB 10,000 per year 5. Relocation Allowance (one-off)RMB 5,0006. Housing Allowance RMB 5,500 per month 7. Visa Fee (within China)Free 8. Health Insurance High-end comprehensive coverage health insurance – free of charge to the employee 9. Paid Holidays Approximately 10 paid days off for the Christmas holiday each year (exact dates according to the school calendar)
