Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license
- Experience or comfort working with pediatric and school-aged populations
- Familiarity with IEP processes, goal-setting, and documentation in the school system
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to support diverse student needs
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized interventions in line with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services and collaborate on classroom modifications
- Document progress in compliance with legal and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and recommendations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and caregivers to optimize student outcomes
- Deliver training and resources to support school personnel and families
