Programming Manager (Activities)

Location Oak Crest Village, Parkville, MD – a beautiful 87‑acre continuing care retirement community managed by Erickson Senior Living. Job Title Programming Manager Compensation Annual salary of $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience. Adapt programming to residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities, ensuring choice and preference are supported. Assess residents’ needs and limitations for program planning, holistic assessment, and MDS completion. Document weekly schedules, holistic assessments, care plans, and MDS reports. Review resident assessments completed by Program Assistants/Coordinators to ensure appropriate programming. Interview, hire, supervise, evaluate, and, if necessary, terminate CC program department staff. Participate in yearly budget planning, justifying payroll and departmental supplies. Educate staff and volunteers on residents’ abilities, psychosocial needs, and therapeutic interventions during in‑service training and staff meetings. Collaborate with all departments to create a social, home‑like atmosphere that celebrates residents’ gifts. Participate in CC QAPI, operations team meetings, financial reviews, and other relevant meetings. Qualifications CPR certification (required). Advanced computer skills (required). ADCP or ADC certification preferred at hire; required within one year of start date. ACC or CTRS certification preferred. Basic knowledge of the physical, psychosocial, social, and spiritual aspects of the aging process. Strong team‑building and leadership skills; ability to foster teamwork. Excellent customer service, problem‑solving, time‑management, and leadership skills.
