Travel Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid Physical Therapy License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: BLS certification required Previous SNF experience preferred Description: This position is for a travel physical therapist. The therapist will work in a rehabilitation unit. The unit has a total of 30 beds and is staffed by 22 professionals. The team consists of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and technicians. The patient-to-staff ratio is 7:1. Typical equipment includes balance and gait systems. Documentation is completed using a specific electronic health record system. Therapists will perform patient evaluations and activities of daily living. Additional responsibilities include transfers, family and patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and functional training. Candidates should be adaptable and able to function well independently in a fast-paced environment. The dress code is light gray scrubs.
