Junior Estimator - Construction

Location: Alexandria, LA

Pay: $20-$25/hr (DOE)

Schedule: 30-40 hours weekly

Type: Direct Hire

A growing construction company in Alexandria is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support its expanding project workload. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to build a long-term career in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimating
Review plans, specifications, and project documents
Support senior estimators in preparing bids and proposals
Communicate with vendors and subcontractors
Maintain organized project files and documentation

Qualifications

Experience in construction, estimating, or a related field preferred
Drafting/design experience and working knowledge of CAD software strongly preferred
Ability to read blueprints is a plus
Strong math and computer skills
Reliable, organized, and willing to learn
