Staff Accountant

Reconcile daily bank activity and intercompany accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial records. Prepare and post recurring, prepaid, payroll, fuel, equipment, and month-end accrual journal entries. Review general ledger activity, including R&M and Small Tools accounts, and reclassify capitalizable costs as needed. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting work papers for assigned accounts. Analyze equipment, fuel, and project-related costs; coordinate with Billing, Fleet, and Equipment teams to resolve variances and ensure proper allocation. Support month-end closing, fixed price reporting, job profitability reporting, and other financial analysis as needed. Assist with annual audit requests, ad-hoc reporting, data entry, and other accounting projects as assigned.
