Medical Assistant - Dermatology – Richmond, VA

Private Dermatology Practice - Full-Time

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic and thriving dermatology practice? We are seeking a highly organized, friendly, and proactive Medical Assistant to join our busy team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth patient flow, providing exceptional patient care, and delivering top-notch customer service - all with professionalism and enthusiasm.

No prior medical experience? No problem! We are happy to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet, triage, and room patients
Assist in managing patient flow
Record and update patient vitals in the EMR system
Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms
Assist with surgical procedures
Handle patient calls and follow-ups
Obtain prior authorizations and referrals for medications, treatments, and procedures
Process and track lab specimens and diagnostic tests
Maintain proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
Perform other duties as needed

What Were Looking For:

Previous medical experience (preferred, but not required)
Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records
Strong communication skills
Outgoing and friendly personality
Professional and team-oriented mindset
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
